The Urban Indian Center of Salt Lake (UICSL) recently hosted a site visit and roundtable discussion with IHS Director Tso, Phoenix Area Director Ty Reidhead, and IHS staff. The discussion involved board members, the executive leadership team, and community partners such as NAT-SU, UDHHS and AUCH. These conversations have strengthened UICSL’s alignment with Indian Health Services initiatives and reaffirmed our position within the community. We are honored to share the tradition, memory, and vision of UICSL with our local, state, and national partners “to better serve the people by honoring Native culture, strengthening health and wellness programs, and cultivating community.”
