Indigenous Community Mural

In honor of the thousands of Indigenous children lost to boarding school violence and Missing & Murdered Indigenous Relatives an Indigenous Community Mural will be created.

SAT. APRIL 30th
2:00 PM – 7:00 PM

Please come anytime between 2:00-7:00 pm to participate.

Painting of flowers will likely range from 30 min – 2 hrs per artist, depending on each individual’s artistic process.

FLOWERS FOR MMIR

Indigenous & 2SBIPOC Relatives, please join us in creating a community mural in preparation for
MAY 5TH. THE NATIONAL DAY OF AWARENESS & MOURNING FOR MISSING AND MURDERED INDIGENOUS RELATIVES.
Participating individuals will be asked to paint a red & orange flower on wood cut-outs that will become part of a larger mural that will be made permanent to the “Carry the Water, An Indigenous Healing Garden” located in Salt Lake City, the lands of the Ute, Paiute, Goshute and Shoshone Peoples.
