Every Child Matters
September 30 All day
The Urban Indian Center of Salt Lake invites the community to pause, listen, and remember. This annual day of recognition honors the children taken from their homes and communities, remembers those who never returned, and supports the families who continue to carry that loss.

Why We Observe This Day
Orange Shirt Day recognizes that the history and effects of residential and boarding schools live on today. By wearing orange and gathering together, we affirm that Every Child Matters and commit to honoring every life affected.
