The Urban Indian Center of Salt Lake is proud to present the inaugural Urban Nations Powwow! Gather your family and friends for a vibrant day celebrating Indigenous culture, dance, and community.

- Master of Ceremonies: Howie Thomson (Carry the Kettle, Saskatchewan)
- Arena Director: Leo Eaglespeaker (Fort Hall, Idaho)
- Headwoman: Lisa Hill (Oneida, Ontario)
- Headman: Xavier Littlehead (Lame Deer, Montana)
- Host Northern Drum: Bullhorn (Blood Tribe of the Blackfoot Confederacy)
- Host Southern Drum: Leading Arrow (Pawnee, Oklahoma)
- Drum Judge: Tommy Phillips (Manteca, California)
- Tabulating: All Counts Tabulation (Sacramento, California)

All drums are welcome to join the Drum Contest with massive cash prizes:
- 1st Place: $5,000
- 2nd Place: $3,000
- 3rd Place: $2,000
- 4th & 5th Place: $800 each

- Junior & Teen Girls/Boys: Fancy, Jingle, Grass, Traditional
- Womens & Mens: Fancy, Jingle, Grass, Southern Traditional, Northern Traditional, Straight

- Specials: 18+ Men’s Traditional, 18+ Women’s Traditional, Headman Special (TBA), Headlady Special (TBA)

ℹ️ Important Attendee Information
- Seating: Bring your own chairs and canopies. Water or sandbag weights only—no staking canopies into the stadium ground.
- Accessibility: Elder and ADA shuttles will run from the UIC parking lot to the stadium from 10:00 AM to 10:00 PM.
- Pets: No pets allowed. Certified service animals only.
- Safety: This is a strictly drug and alcohol-free event.
