We serve the people by honoring native cultures, strengthening health and wellness programs, and cultivating community.

Focus Areas

UICSL Clinical and Community Center, provides behavioral health, public health, family and community services exclusively to Native American and Alaska Native communities.

Our community center is designed to bring people together to celebrate culture and connection that include language preservation, pow wows, community gardening, wellness trainings, elders’ programs, and much more.

Together, these two focus areas honor THE PEOPLE.

Service Area

We proudly hold space for 14,500 individuals from federally recognized tribes, including the eight tribes of Utah (Northwestern Band of Shoshone Nation, Confederated Tribes of Goshute, Skull Valley Band of Goshute, Paiute Indian Tribe of Utah, San Juan Southern Paiute Tribe, Ute Indian Tribe of the Uintah and Ouray Reservation, Ute Mountain Ute Tribe and Navajo Nation).

 

Our service area spans five counties, where Our Center provides care to an average of 5,587 clinical and behavioral health patients each year. Our primary focus is on serving members of the AIAN community within this region. Notably, 26.3% of our community live at or below 150% of the Federal Poverty Level, and 25.7% lack health insurance, highlighting the critical need for accessible, culturally responsive care
